Bumble hosted a global Domino Effect party on Valentine’s Day to celebrate its users in major cities around the world. The party started off on Valentine’s Day in New Zealand and continued throughout Valentine’s Day in Australia, India, Europe and the United States.
The 24-hour celebration concluded in Los Angeles with a party hosted by Meghan Trainor, who performed songs from her new EP, ‘The Love Train.’ Wills Reid, from the 14th season of the Bachelorette, also made an appearance to encourage singles to make the first move.
At the Los Angeles party, guests were able to participate in various experiences, including interactive photo moments, specialty cocktails, and tunes by DJ Honey. The party highlighted Bumble’s new ‘Spotlight’ feature, where users are shown more people in their area for a total of 30 minutes for the price of one Bumble Coin. The party included a “Spotlight Bar,” which allowed partygoers to jump to the front of the queue for a drink.
"The domino effect is based on the idea that every time a woman makes the first move – whether that's in dating, friendship or business - empowers other women to do the same," the press release said. "The party also has a domino effect as the event moves from one time zone to another - as a consecutive 24-hour global Valentine's Day party.
